Image compressor

Compress and resize images locally, with adjustable quality and JPEG, WebP or PNG output.

Preparing your workspace…

How to compress an image

  1. Choose a JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF image from your device (up to 50 MB and 40 megapixels).
  2. Choose JPEG, WebP or PNG output, adjust quality where available, and set the maximum dimensions. Images are resized without enlarging the original.
  3. Compress the image, compare the file sizes and download the result. JPEG uses a white background for transparent areas; PNG and WebP can retain transparency.

Animated inputs produce a still image. PNG is lossless, so reducing dimensions may be needed to make the file smaller. Compression results depend on the original image and output format.
